Edit: LT emailed back confirmed its legit, just real old. Thanks all

Drug out some old RAS and LT152 mount to put up in the EE.

Taking pics, it dawned on me there is no LT logo on the bottom like my other LT mounts....or oil hole.

No discernible quality difference that I can tell from my other LT mounts...but I dont remember using it, so no exp there.  Is this  a legit LT mount?

Edit: Checked the LT site and the LT152 pic does show an oil hole (no pic of bottom)  but the LT150 pic of the bottom is the same as mine with no logo, 2 dots and no oil hole....?

Looks legit to me based on what the fake ones look like. I imagine it's just an older mount before some of the missing features you described became standard.

Someone more knowledgeable than me can confirm though.

Airsoft copy.

EDIT:  http://b20airsoft.com/product_detail.php?sid=40&id=55

Your older version probably has the LaRue logo since it was possibly prior to being put on notice for trademark infringement.

I was going to say "older legit mount", but the bottom looks off.

No "USA", on the lug and the "LT152" looks weird to me...weird font and weird placement.

I don't have a 152 mount to compare to though.

Regardless of the USA, the bottom of the lever would be stamped with pat #/pat pending as required by the USPTO (as can be seen on every mount in addition to the USA).

Most of the fakes have super bright white lettering. The real mounts have always had a subdued almost yellow looking laser lettering.

ETA: It's scary how good the fakes are getting. It really takes a keen eye to pick up the differences.

This is LT pic of the 150 bottom. Looks like my 152.

To the guy that posted the airsoft link, that mount is much different...you aren't seeing it

I got a reply back from Larue tech support and they said: This looks like one of our mounts all be it a very old one.

Interesting, how old is yours?  Patent wasn't issued until 2007 but I presume they would have used patent pending for provisional rights.  Maybe it's legit.  Damn Chinese regardless.

I saw it, there are better copies.
