Poking around the EE a little this morning when I ran across this listing which peaked my interest a little. Notice the SMOS, LLC GRANTS PASS, OR stamp.

My question is, does LT still go through SMOS LLC for lowers or are they built in-house like the barrels are now?
I realize the lower in the post is an older model but my thinking is, maybe this is why lowers are never available. LT probably just purchases enough to fill their complete rifle quota which would explain why stripped lowers are only available at certain times.

Anyone have any more info on this?

I'd be for some learning on the subject too.

They are made in house now I don't know when they switched over but know SMOS originally made them. You can still get the SMOS billet lower that has the same
Lines just no LaRue logo

I noticed that the over all design is the same. I love it but the LT logo is vastly superior to the SOS Donkey...

I had no clue. Just checked them out. Nice looking lowers. This may be a good option if I don't make the BuildAR's list. I really hope to make the list but it's good to know there is a high quality option with the same lines. You're right about the sharp looking Larue logo.
