I picked up an Alexandria A3 forged upper receiver some time ago and am thinking about using it for my Stealth build.

I'm concerned about the upper being on the low side of the scale and don't want to jeopardize anything with this build.

Should I toss the upper back in the parts bin and pick up a better quality stripped upper? If so which one would compliment the 16" Stealth barrel (with M4 ramps) the best?

Thank you

p.s. The build parts list ...

LaRue 16" Stealth barrel w/ M4 feed ramps (also their barrel nut, gas block and gas tube)
A2 flash suppressor (not sold on this yet)
LT15-13.2 handguard
BCM ambi charging handle
Spike's T2 buffer
JP extra power buffer spring
Tactical Machining lower
MBT
BAD ambi safety
PSA LPK
AIM v2 bolt
MagPul stock, grip, (probable)VFG and BUIS

It's not going to make a difference. I'd just run what you have.

With the hodge podge of parts that you have going on there, I really don't think it will make a hill of beans difference. Run whatcha got.

I  need to spend some more time on LT's site ... I never saw that

on edit: That upper doesn't have M4 feed ramps so as I understand it that would not work with my M4 feed ramp Stealth barrel

M4 feed ramped barrel is okay with a rifle upper. But honestly - there won't be a functional difference. Just use what you've got.

General consensus is to use what I have.

Thank you everyone.
