This is some clever, Jedi grade, big boss thinking.
I'm sure your LaRue shootist will be sharpening their pencils (and moistening their front sights). Curious if this little challenge improves your shootists average performance. The community will post plenty of sub MOA LaRue images on the interwebs... I know I will (when my 16.1", 7.62 tOBR ships anyhow)

Any chance for a fella to get in on this without the test target? Perhaps an alternate way to "qualify" for the dillo... I bought my PredatAR a few years back and damned if I know where that test target is...Pretty sure the dog ate it...

Don't own a set but Safetyoff's endorsement & use of them seem to speak for themselves. I also use RCBS, Dillon & Hornady but would love to spend some quality time reloading the TOBR's ammo. Your rifle's accuracy speaks for itself but I'd sure like to get below .200 for 3 shots downrange.

I took a three day tactical rifle class at Tactical Defense Institute this weekend - the class was awesome. I ran my colt 6940 through the course. On the second day, I brought in my new 7.62 TOBR, that I just bought from a fellow arfcommer, to show my buddy, other students, and the instructors. Everyone was quite impressed with the toolbox, the rollout of the roll bag and the assembling. One of the instructors bore sighted all of the students' rifle on day one and I said to him, if joked to shoot it, can you sight it in for me. I got a Bushnell elite 1-6.5 scope on a larue mount for the TOBR but have not sighted it in.
The instructor came back a bit later and said if I come back from dinner 30 minutes early, we can sight it in before the night class begins. The problem was that I did not bring any 308 mags or ammo. One of the instructor loaned me a mag and the owner of TDI spotted me a box of Remington match 168 grain 308. The instructure bore-sighted the rifle and got it zero'ed at 100 yrds in 2 shots. it was amazing. Took a few practice shots. Took first group of 3 and then a second group of 3. We eyeballed this one and thought it was good enough to beat the shootist. There was still 8 rounds left. 0.578 MOA. This is an amazing rifle.

Took my 16" Tobr 7.62 to the range and was all over the place trying to bore sight and bring it in.
It has been over a decade and this scope is fancy for me so gimme a break. AT my age my biggest concern has been whether I could see and hold well enough to enjoy shooting again. Anyhow, time was running short but I had to get through some frustration getting her pretty close and really wanted to see how it was grouping. I can do better than that with some custom loads and with practice I will beat that .300moa the shooter sent me. Anybody got suggestions on powder, primer, bullet, and loads for the 7.62 PredatOBR? Up Close

Same boat here. I have an 18" 7.62 OBR that I bought second hand and didn't get anything but the rifle itself
