So I placed an order Sunday night from Larue, it shipped Monday and everything was fine and in transit from UPS (I paid extra money to avoid the horrible UPS Surepost garbage and upgraded my shipping to UPS ground) and now today (at 2AM this morning) my package went into "exception" status from UPS's website. It states that the weather in Mesquite TX has been causing delays. I checked the weather and it's 30 something degrees with no precipitation. Clear weather. My delivery date was supposed to be tomorrow but now my package has no delivery date. Has anyone else been experiencing any delays through UPS when ordering through Larue Tacitcal lately? I googled UPS delays in Texas and apparently TX had a massive ice storm that set UPS back pretty bad but that post was from Dec. 20 something of 2013. Surely UPS isn't still holding packages from that?
Any info would be appreciated. I don't want to contact UPS because I have had to deal with their customer service before... they will read to you from a manual and tell you "tough shit, you'll get your stuff when you get it". Shit's so frustrating... I wish there was a shop around here that sold the stuff I needed so I wouldn't have to order anything else online. I just got done building a rifle and ordered all my parts online and this makes the THIRD package that's either gotten delayed, lost or the wrong item sent. Thanks for any info. |

My rifle was a few weeks ago before t the weather, but my aimpoint -from larue- was delayed a day (delivered Monday instead of Friday). A few weeks ago I ordered stuff from another southeast company and train derailment was the ups reason for the 3 day delay
I wouldn't worry though, ups has it and it will arrive in due time But the wait is torture!! Good luck |

It'll be a day or two. I had the same problem last time a winter storm rolled through (a couple weeks ago). Was your order through Larue? Coming from Texas? By UPS? Did the tracking number show the "exception status"? I don't mind the waiting... I just want to know a delivery date. I hate having a tracking number say "Your order is delayed and it'll be delivered when we can get to it". |

FYI-Sunday and Sunday night DFW (Mesquite) got the thundersleet storm. Yep, it was sleeting and thundering at the same time. WTF |

I'm also not in any of those effected states either but I guess I'm still effected...

I fucking hate the UPS. They lose more of my packages and have the slowest god damn shipping service ever. Here's how fucking retarded they are:
Horsham, PA, United States 03/07/2014 3:16 A.M. Departure Scan Phoenix, AZ, United States 02/28/2014 10:33 P.M. Arrival Scan Austin, TX, United States 02/26/2014 9:52 P.M. Departure Scan 02/26/2014 6:06 P.M. Origin Scan United States 02/26/2014 5:55 P.M. Order Processed: Ready for UPS Congratulations UPS. I live in Arizona. How you get from Austin to Phoenix, then take a side trip to Horsham, Pennsylvania, I'll never know. |

Even when weather is warm, sunny, and just plain boringly awesome, all of my Larue orders enter a 30-48 hour time freeze in Mesquite. I thought it was an exception the first time, now I just expect it. It is every time.
Anyone work for UPS in Mesquite? "What the Hell is going on around there?!" -Lombardi |
