About a year ago I bought a Larue SPR-E mount off the EE.  At the time Larue didn't have any in stock and I needed to fulfill my need for instant gratification.  Mount looked new and un-used.

Fast forward a year and I have finally used it.  Mounted up a Vortex PST 1-4 in it.  But the mount has some slight play in it where the rings meet the base.

There weren't any washers of any kind included when I bought the mount, could I possibly be missing those?  Or did I just do something wrong?  Mark can call me an idiot, it's Veteran's day and it'll bring back memories of my Drill's .

Thank you in advance.

My dad had the same problem.  He didn't tighten the bottom screws tight enough before tightening the top screws so the rings never fully clamped onto the mount once they were tight on the scope. Try loosening the top screws then tighten the bottom screws and see if that fixed the problem.
