ok when i got this rifle in i mentioned that the trigger was extremely hard to pull.(itwas mentioned to me to by another ar15commer to stop complaining) i took the gun out to the range today and same results. i dont have a trigger gauge but if i had to guess it is like 12-15 lbs pull. some other guy checked it out and thought it was very strange. so when i got home i disassembled the rifle and pulled the safety selector. dry fired the trigger without the selector in and i could tell a major difference. it feels like i should maybe 3 lbs. so i tried a different selector, and the trigger wont even work with the new selector. the way it looks to me is the little tab on the trigger that engages to the safety selector is making to much contact in fire mode and making it difficult to fire. when the trigger works as it should it feels nice great trigger but assembled it is crap. wishing it came with a Geissele like my other larue rifles.
any thoughts guys |

im not sure its the trigger causing you grief- the first thing id do is try to swap out the safety selector with a different one, just to rule it out.
+1 on calling LT... if something isnt right, they will bend over backwards to fix it. even if its just a minor tweak- an expensive rifle like that, that you waited this long for should be 100% out of the box- and they know and agree with that. |

I have a couple triggers and lower parts we could drop in and try if you're close. |
| Then you most likely have a slightly out of spec "gold trigger group" where the rear is catching on your selector. Give LaRue a heads up and see if they'll swap another one out for you. I haven't worked with the gold triggers before but I had to put my LMT ambi-selector in the mill when I put in the Geissele DMR. It sounds like a similar issue. |

If not, then every complaint you post costs you credibility. Handle your business behind closed doors like a man. If or when that doesn't work, then you start up the ladder of escalation. So far, it seems to me that you are just looking for a reason to feel special on a forum site... If you don't get any satisfaction after contacting Larue, by all means blast away. |

Yeah, that post was uncalled for. The OP isn't even going at this in a troll like manor, simply asking if anyone has had similar experience. Why, because it was blunt? When OP posted his problem in the other thread, I am pretty sure someone recommended that he call the shop. He comes back a week or two later and reposts his problem in a new thread. Again someone asks him to call the shop. What does he do after that??? Thats right, he keeps going on about it. Still doesn't seem as if he has called the shop. Don't know about you, but when my rifle arrives and with its price of entry, if it isn't right you can bet I'll be calling the shop. Beyond that, I'll give LT every chance to make it right before I start making a stink about it publicly. Has the OP even given LT the first chance? And I'm not even one of the fanboys, LOL, just a guy patiently waiting on his order. Its just a matter of handling business properly. But then again, if he HAD called the shop first, he might not have had anything to post about... and that is the important thing isn't it??? |
| i was just giving it another shot i making that it wasnt just user induced malfunction. plus i finally had a weekend off to get back out to the range. plus if i can fix it myself i would rater do so. my son(11) qualified with the rifle out to 500 yards and he brought it back to my attention that the trigger is really hard to pull. and i will be calling the shop first thing monday. i was also just reporting to see if anyone else was having this problem. |
| I don't doubt for a sec that you have a legitimate issue, but whenever you are dealing with a new product, especially at this price point, always contact the vendor first. They have a responsibility to you, not to mention us that they are putting out a quality product. If there is an issue with the new trigger group, the sooner they find out, the sooner the issue can be corrected. If its a one-off problem, I'm sure they would be more than happy to make it right. I also completely understand the idea of working on your own stuff. When I got my first AR, the next thing I did (after taking it to the range) was to buy vice-blocks, a barrel wrench, and punch set. But I also started out with a working platform. If the gun would have been crocked from the start, you can believe that the manufacturer would have been making my expenditure worth while. |

Was your trigger problem consistent ?? I feel like mine is a heavy pull ... others, not so much ... The inconsistency seems strange ... I'm doing a full range day Saturday so will more fully evaluate (trigger gauge etc.) then ... ETA .... So they just replaced yours ? |
