Like most of you i am looking for gun parts right now. i am in the market for a Geissele trigger, SSA to be specific, and in the process of looking for some other parts i need i found a Geissele SSA trigger on another sight for $194. at the moment i cannot remember the sight, but if i find it and supply the link, and it is a reputable sight, not a fly by night place, would Larue match the price?
i dont want to take up valueable phone time to ask such a non important question, so i am hoping someone here has already asked that same question.
thanx in advance.
and i am only asking about items that other companies sell as well, like the triggers or mags, when they get them, nothing Larue brand specific.

Ok i dont know if you know how business is run, but Larue, Midway, Brownells doesnt pay retail for the stuff they buy, they are what you would call a reseller.
a little economics for you.
Larue has a DBA, Thats doing business as, number that allows him to buy product less than MSRP. then Larue sells the product for MSRP.
Now i live in texas and i have to pay Tax on top of MSRP.
so am i saving money, sure, im also saving on the tax more than anything.
but i love all the know it all, especially the retard that found the $1200 larue rifle.
sure buy it!! I am VERY SURE IT IS A REAL LARUE for that much.

I think it is a very relevant question in todays economy and part prices.
I really want to support a local business more than i want to ship the money out of state, and if i can save a buck so be it, if not i still plan on ordering it from them. Just pocketing a few bucks wouldnt be horrible.
of course i guess you guys are all 1%ers and have unlimited funds to do what you want?
cause i dont and this is a luxary item for me, my gun came with a trigger, a crappy one, but after some saving a scraping i can afford this luxary.
so i am just trying to strech my dollar as far as i can.

so to answer questions.
i want to support a company i trust, and a company that has proven to  have my back as a gun owner.

i dont want to order from out of state if i can support a local company, and i try to do that in my city also, i buy from local vendors before i look to the chain stores.

and if i can save a few bucks, i win!
if i cant save a few buck, I win!
i win no matter what, i get my trigger from a trusted source and i help the local economy.

i would hope everybody wants to save a buck and help support the local business at the same time.

In your little economics "lesson," you completely left out the retailer's side of the business. You have no clue what LaRue's (or any other company's) profit is on the SSA.

And honestly, how much difference in price are we talking here? I'd rather pay slightly more and support a local business.

I honestly don't think LT has the time or ability to deal with this request right now.

I just ordered two SSA's directly from Geissele two days ago.  Yes, I found them for a cheaper price, but I knew they were in stock at Geissele, and I would get -Genuine - new parts.  My 2 cents ...

Needs a typing lesson too.

Margins are very small on small parts like Geiselle triggers. I use to buy them at wholesale and there's not that much savings. You claim to want to keep your money in Texas and support a Texas business, then ask to cut off the profit?

Wow...such harshness for a simple question.  Could we dial down the venom a bit, maybe?   Isn't this supposed to be a community?

Shopping around for a good deal isn't a crime, particularly on resale items like the triggers...it's not like he asked to price match a custom OBR to a base-model Bushmaster.

I would imagine that most people on here have shopped around and/or negotiated a price at one point or another.  When was the last time you paid sticker price for a car?  Or when buying a big screen?     Asking if a company has a price-match policy is reasonable...lots do, these days.

I agree that LT is probably way too busy for this type of thing right now, and I wouldn't have asked it myself, but it's a fair question, and not a reason to call the guy a part of the FSA.

Maybe there should be a new to ARs and new to the forums question area on ARFCOM because some folks are pretty harsh when a question either hits a nerve or someone thinks is stupid. Wouldnt ask advice myself on here knowing the few are ready to tell you how dumb and new i am. Just an observation from my end. WHY?

Ha!
It's not that I have thin skin...I can dish it out and take it with the best of them.  I just like to keep my rudeness in check until it's necessary.  I deleted the first two comments back to that guy that I typed, b/c they were of the same type as his, and weren't helpful.

There just seem to be a lot of folks on here who go out of their way to be rude to people, particularly new guys, when it isn't necessary.   I'm all for blasting someone who needs it.  Jumping down someone's throat for asking a simple question isn't one of them, IMO.   Obviously, some people think differently.

Remember, everyone on here was a "fucking noob" at one point or another...everyone starts out at 0 posts.  Having a high post count doesn't mean much to me, if they are all "+1", "me too",  and "fucking noob" types of posts.
