Hi all, I ordered a 556 OBR back in the beginning of November before the all the nonsense in New York- Connecticut. I am not from New York, but this is where I live. Even though I bought the rifle before the $h!* hit the fan. I understand about getting bumped or put on hold. Here is my question. Why can’t I sell the rifle to my good friend in New Hampshire and not loose my place in line? This way if the law is void. I get my rifle, and if it’s not my friend get my rifle without the wait. There has to be a lawful way of making this work. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks |
| The transfer actually takes place from your FFL dealer to you. LaRue just sends the gun to the FFL you designate. I suspect you could find an FFL in New Hampshire (your friend's?) to receive the gun from LaRue. I would talk to that FFL about a legal way to transfer the gun to you. For instance, do you have to be a resident of NH to buy a gun there? (I don't know the answer to that) Stuff like that. |

Quoted: I love Texas. It's never that easy. Your mindset is entirely wrong here. Move to TEXAS then it is no longer a problem. Besides can you say " NO STATE INCOME TAX" there you go problem solved. PS If anyone wants to give me one I promise to take good care of it. I have been passing threw New York for thirteen years. My wife lied when she told me it would be temporary until the kids were a little older.
Thirteen year later and we don't talk.... |

I'm not sure if you are trying to get your rifle sent to a non-ban state, or if you are gonna sell your rifle so-to-speak to your buddy (which means it would be in his name).
Either way I'd call Larue and see if they can't change the name on your order to your friends name and have your friend provide the CC info, etc. |

I called and they can't or won't do it. I don't know why I can't buy my friend in another state a gift. I wish someone would explain. Hopefully the new laws get over turned. I'm going to go to the state house on Thursday. See how many people show up. |
