Mark(s)....
I'm in awe of that rifle... Truly a work of art, that is able to go into harms way... Sadly, with three little Paddy Ricans (I'm Irish, wife is Puerto Rican...hence Paddy Rican), running about underfoot... This is likely to be as close to one of those rifles as I'm able to get for the next 20 years.... Hopefully by then you'll be making a plasma rifle somewhere in the 40 watt range.... with a flame thrower.... and a grenade launcher.... and.... a bottle opener for my Shiner and Schlafly.... |

Hey Mark,
Was on the list for PredatOBR prior to the price increase. Canceled order to get one of the first batch of Costa's. Could I get back on list for PredatOBR at pre-price increase price? Pretty please? |

So, does this mean LaRue will start selling barrels for caliber/role conversions? Are we going to get any info on weight?
I think the SCOBR would be my ultimate dream rifle if it also included a tool-less, quick change barrel system. I'm not sure why more manufacturers haven't moved in this direction given the modularity focus of modern rifles. The technology already exist in certain iterations. The AUG has a tool-less barrel change capability, as do various belt fed machine guns. Oh well, I'm sure LaRue will come up with something like this a couple years after I drop a few K on SCOBR's...

Aw bite me.
I've been looking at the pics on an Iphone today. Now I get home and see a good picture on the screen. I really like this now. Mark, you are the devil. |

Can ya cook a small one for the wife and I? I'll drop by tomorrow on the way to Home Depot ETA- I'll be adding this piece of beauty to the collection. Since my PredatAR is on the order, should I just change it now? |

IMHO, you're getting more bang for the buck with a SCOBR. also they don't offer a 14.5" OBR. |

Personally, I want something lighter than my OBR while still retaining the OBR barrel with PST. I really hope LaRue managed to trim some weight with the SCOBR. The pictures that have been posted so far don't really look like it. I wasn't expecting PredaTAR lightness, but somewhere about mid way between the OBR and PredaTAR would be nice. The website list a weight of 8.2 pounds for the 14.5" 7.62 model, but who knows how accurate that is for the redesign. Hopefully LaRue will be forthcoming on the weights for the finalized design. Actually, I wish they would update their website providing more specific weights for all their rifles in each barrel length. Constructive criticism aside, Mark, are their any plans to offer the 5.56 SCOBR in a 12" model? I think an SBR SCOBR would be more practical than an SBR OBR. |

The weights listed for the tOBR since SHOT 2012 have been as heavy as a OBR. Where were they going to loose weight in a tOBR when it had a longer HG than a OBR? The longer HG but without the 20 MOA top rail would be a wash as far as weight is concerned. But with a SCOBR, you could have a light weight barel and a heavy weight OBR barrel and change them as needed. I'd like a heavy 7.62 barrel and a LW 6.5 Remington hunting barrel. |

Looking at the pictures of a 14.5" posted on page one here and comparing it to pictures of 16" OBR's and PredaTAR's, the rail length on the SCOBR looks closer to that of the OBR. I though the rails on the SCOBR/tOBR had been shortened to accomodate the 14.5" barrel offerings. |

I must say that I'm more impressed than i ever thought I would be, I even bought two surefire suppressors from my local SOT when I ordered the rifles and all I can say is that I was going to give them to my 5 and 10 year old boys but now hell no they wait until I die You guys in Texas hit a home run on these. |
|
Wondering if the geometry on the sides of the upper/lower receivers are going to match.
In the pics, the new upper design butts into a wider vertical section on the side of the lower receiver. Perfectionist I guess. Anyways, got home to the big screen last night, and WHOA this is purdy! |
