Mark, where's the target from the .260 quick barrel change? That was impressive as heck.

Sorry for the delay in response. Yes, it is an HDMR. I have grown very fond of this glass. I have own and run Leupolds, NF and Premier Reticles. But considering the cost vs. the capabilities you just can't beat this HDMR.
ML, Glad you like the group. This 16" barrel is a tack driver. Thank you for an outstanding rifle. |

View Quote Those poor damned little SC deer didn't stand a chance with that 7.62! When I lived there I hunted with my Rem 700 PSS and it would knock those deer right into the dirt. Maine deer, that is a different game...200+ lb bucks but only 1 per season. |

Monk Yes it is a Spuhr SP-4902 (9 mil). I still have 10.8 mils of down and 24.6 mils up elev (more than plenty). I was really leaning toward the 4-16 ATACR F1, but given that Mark is coming out with the 260 REM barrel, I wanted a little more magnification. This is a first for me spending that much $$ on a scope but this Rifle is worthy of it. And I have to say that it is worth every hard earned penny! |

RF, Why are you leaning toward the Armageddon Gear? I was looking at a TAB can koozie. Just want to pick the right one. I'm waiting on the SF SOCOM 300. penny for your thoughts and all.

I ordered the Armageddon the other day, I'll let you know how it works. I did also consider the TAB Gear one too, just the SAS model because it is a simple velcro model. Another popular one is the Elite Iron but someone showed on the internet how they melted one. I don't intend to do a string of fire to get it that hot. I did order the TAB gear large rear bag. I don't like the rabbit ear one I use now. I also ordered a Str8 Laced rear bag and it will be here today, Gonna go shooting again tomorrow! |

View Quote I gotcha. I ordered the Atlas from B&T disassembled. You can send your Atlas back to them and they will disassemble it for a fee. I think you save about $20 if you order it disassembled. You just have the anodized parts cerakoted and send it back for reassembly. I had my rifle, mounts, and bipod coated at Joint Force Enterprises in Jacksonville, Florida. The Cerakote is Federal Standard Field Drab. The Surefire can is FDE and the Schmidt is RAL8000. The Federal Standard Field Drab is a perfect match for Coyote Brown. |

"Cherry Popped" and all that despite what 2 ballistic apps told me. Target was a full size IPSC . Used the brand new Magneto Speed V3 I ordered from LT 2 weeks ago to chrono the Fed 168 GMM. What is your charging handle? Do you shoot suppressed and if you do, how is it without the stock Pri Gas buster CH? What 2 ballistic apps are you using? I have the Ballistic AE and Shooter. I like the Shooter, easy to use and I am still learning the Ballistic AE. Did your ballistic app have you going subsonic at around 900 yds? P |

Charging handle is a Ranier Raptor. I love it being a lefty. I have shot it w a friend's SF 7.62 RC I think it was. I didn't have much of a problem, but being a lefty shooting righty guns I'm used to it and usually wear eye pro.
I have Ballistic AE and isnipe. Shooter was recommended to me by some guys in the know I just haven't gotten it yet. Both showed me going trans/sub just shy of 900. Can't tell you why I was able to do it. And I'm sure if there were some other variable at work I wouldn't make it. Like if it was in the 30's and high humidity, etc. The JP's w me had avg MV of 2,48? With same ammo. They had 16" barrels so they just didn't have enough tube to run up the MV. They are great guns just not right hammer for the nails so to speak at the 1000. I even had some GMM 175's to try since I fully expected my ammo to "fall apart". |
