I used my LaRuler for the same purpose, even got to account for how far I bashed in the  front sight using a steel punch lol.

I tried a brass punch but they wouldn't budge.  The MGW sight pusher did the job in about 5 minutes.

That is a heck of a good sight pusher.  A friend has one at his shop.  Makes easy work on changing rear sights on Glock slides.

Old eyes?  Heck, I needed coke bottle glasses since about 3rd grade.  Thank the Lord for the new plastic lens and only needing one bifocal!

It looks like the real key is the slide rail thingamajig.  The frame slides onto these rails like it's going onto the lower and when you tighten it down, provides the stability needed for the pusher.  Instead of buying a new pusher for each pistol, it would seem you could just buy new slide rail thingamajigs for each manufacturer.

The MGW retails for $125.  I bought it off EE for $100 shipped and will sell it to the next person who needs to do the same.  In fairness to Ed, I did buy and try his sight pusher, but it currently will not work with the M&Ps front sight.  I've sent detailed pictures to Ed regarding his pusher so he can determine if it's worth a re-tool.
