How do I go about getting one? Looked on the LaRue site and don't see it.

Just watched the DVD - very well done. Only problem is now I have to order an OBR ... I think that was probably the purpose of producing the DVD. ![]() No, we lucked out on the video. A freelance videographer happened to be at the right place at the right time and picked the right horse so-to-speak when he walked up to Chance and Ed and asked if he could follow them. What he didn't know at the outset was that they were both running OBRs and he had no idea they would eventually walk away with it. 1st Place Service Rifle - 1st Place overall. Or that they'd be such personable characters, and work so well together. What are the odds.

It was a helluva coincidence. Might as well run with it. Seriously Mark, top notch gear in the hands of extremely capable and talented men. It was an amazing thing to watch. Thanks for shooting a copy my direction. I thoroughly enjoyed it. edit: And yeah, an OBR is probably in my future too. |

Thanks for shooting a copy my direction. I thoroughly enjoyed it. He also had no idea that they'd be the only team to both hit the two (2) LaRue Targets for the ~800 meter unknown distance shots. Bam ... Bam ... Bada ... Bing ... Bing. |

Mr. LaRue, I wanted to offer my thoughts on the DVD, if I may...
My limited military ejoomacation has taught me to keep an AAR balanced, to point out the good with the bad (if any)... SUSTAINS: * Great footage and editing. The narration repeated itself at one point (which segment exactly escapes me at the moment), but the rest of the video before and after were well narrated and videographically captured. * From an advertising standpoint, excellent. What better way to showcase LaRue's product quality than to have the winning team (and quite a few of the other top finishers) using your products? * Insights from Todd Hodnett (sp?) and Chris Costa certainly added to the educational aspects of the video. Competitor's insights as to gear selection and employment (validation of personal kit) were also enlightening. IMPROVES: * I did mention that the editing was great. Perhaps dividing the video clips into sections or chapters (Tech Tips, etc) would allow the viewer to skip forward or back to their favorite section(s), when showing the video to a friend. HOWEVER, COMMA, I realize that there may not have been an endless supply of DV or flash memory to record every single second of every single team's action, which might have left certain sections a bit wanting. * Sponsorship. Near the end, during the awards ceremony coverage, I paused the video where the event sponsors were displayed. I thought it strange that LT was not represented, but then again, how many of the top teams were packing PredatARs or OBRs, and see how well they did? I know the video is a LT product, not necessarily something that History Channel or Discovery Channel would show, but having the Dead Center of Texas on that poster sure would have driven the point home to me, had I not already been made familiar with LT products and quality. All that said, I woudl like to re-emphasize that I thoroughly enjoyed the video. So much so, I had just started cleaning my brand-spankin' new Stealth upper on the kitchen table, but it sat and waited patiently for me to watch the video from start to finish. |

So, did ya get your money's worth ? ETA - " Then they changed the rules " Made me wanna go "hmmm" ... But strangely, optics vendors got a pass and got to participate with their latest and greatest. Level playing field and all.
Competitors will be allowed to bring their own day optics, as long as they are no greater than 12 power. While it usually depends on the mission, some snipers use up to 20 power optics. Night optics will be issued prior to the competition. " The comments on ShadowSpear are certainly entertaining " Ultimately the bolt guns got counter-protested at ISC 2011 and tossed and then the whole thing was shot with M110s. ML |

^ ^ ^ So, did ya get your money's worth ? Well... $1000+ for a cap, a bottle of Dust, and a very entertaining video I thought was a bit on the steep side... But then I looked a little closer to the oversized box and realized that you threw in one of your Stealth uppers, and that more than made up for it.
I feel I got more than my money's worth, for both the video and the Stealth upper. Hopefully I'm going to be able to go put it through its paces this morning, and report back. Thank you again for all you and your crew do, Sir. |
| Yes Sir. I learned a lot. Seen the competition on TV before but not in the detail of your video. The Tech tips were very well done. Thank you for including it in my order. Just made me want a 7.62 OBR all the more though. That's next though as I'm done with all my other builds. |

If it's on the military channel and interesting, I'll watch it. Don't recognize any of the shooters from the other shows and I don't recall any police officers. I'll keep an eye out for it though and if I see it I'll DVR it, burn it on a DVD and send it to you. |
