unless you are going to have your face right up against the charging handle, I dont see any reason to order the "E" ... you wont need the added eye relief.

I disagree. I'd go with the E model. You can always bring it or the scope back for shorter eye relief and, if you switch optics down the road and need more relief you don't need another mount.
