I just ordered one this past Saterday and was wondering if anyone else has gotten one. I did a search and didn't see anything posted by anyone in the past 30 days.
I've been looking forward to getting one for a while now. Did just check the order status and it was put to Backorder Hopefully it won't be long. |
| I really like it. I has very solid construction and is very sturdy once it is constructed. There is very little "wabble" in it. It currently sits in my back yard and is being used by my sons for BB gun practice. I plan on getting it out to the range in the next two weeks. |

Kujoe, Since it isn't 100% completely clear from the site, can you possibly post a video of how the target reacts when shot with both pistols and rifles? That would be super helpful. I want one of these bad but I honestly don't even know how it works. I'm assuming it flips backwards and then comes back up but like I said... No experience with steel targets here. |

We shot them and the TG-1 at Rockcastle. The fast target kinda quivers when you hit it with 5.56 at 30 yds. That is all it does. It is a stationary target and the spall line was directly below the target. I own a TG-1... It is the one that drops when hit, and a motor raises it back up in about 9 secs. And, you have to knock the TG-1 down, there is no sensing of a hit, the sensing is of a downed steel. Hope this helps.
ETA: you do get the SATISFYING Ping from both! |

Meaning it moves back and forth? Quivers in the sense that the target moves from the energy of the bullet transferring to the stationary target. It is not designed to fall down and then back up when hit, in fact quite the opposite. It is designed so that you can hit it over and over without having to reset it. The kit comes with nails that are driven into the post to keep the target at the same height on the post. You will see that the steel for the target is quite thick, so it will stand up to some punishment. Getting the optional post guard is a good idea as it will protect the post from low hits. To answer another question, the target sets at a slight downward angel. It is designed to ricochette the bullets or fragments at a 90 degree angle down from the point of impact, thus throwing them into the ground; however, (someone please correct me if I'm wrong here) the base plate catches fragments and whips them around beind the target into the burm. The target is an expensive target; however, with its solid construction, I see less of a need to replace the target plate due to wear than if I had purchased another target with a weaker plate... thus saving me money in the long run. |
