What would you pay for a used stealth upper? 16"
What is the real world barrel life expectancy of the stealth? that is all. |

Haven't seen the bolt. It appears to be a complete upper from what I've seen. I've been told an estimated round count. No full auto mag dumps but its been through a carbine class as least once. I know the predatars have a listed estimated barrel life. Does the same hold true of any other larue barrels? If I had to estimate between 3 and 5 k rnds. That's a liberal guestimate.
I already have an idea what I'm willing to pay. Just want to see if I'm in the right ball park. |

I don't believe it's reached it's half life yet. I think the total expected life is around 20-25k rounds if I recollect. It's been asked here before, maybe someone else can chime in if they know. That'd be my rough guess too, it may open up a little bit, but you should be fine with that barrel for a long time if it has only 3-5k downpipe. |

Quoted: See that's what I'm talking about. I'd seen that figure posted for predator and orb. But does the same hold true for stealth barrels? They have the same barrel....One is turned down to be lighter; the other is not. Same exact barrel. ETA: I paid $1,000 for one that had a Troy MB on it, and had less than 200 rounds on it, and looked perfect. If it had thousands of rounds on it, I'd have taken the cost of having it re-barreled into account. |

I remember Mark stating something like..... " if you can afford to shoot out our barrel, you can afford what we will charge to rebarrel it." It was something in the 200 range if I remember correctly. I think I have read that too, but I think he was refering to a 7.62 OBR which would be a little more expensive to "shoot out" than a .223. |
