Are these things supposed to just slide down the rail to where you want them?  Or am I missing something?  I got mine about half way down my rail, and now it looks like I may need to break out a rubber mallet to get it to move...

mine are tight on mine also

but seriously they can be tight. I also had to sand the edge of a couple to get the index clips to snap on and secure them in the next rail slots

The ones I have done, have been tight, but not so tight I needed to smack them around.

In machine shop language, there is a lot of "German" in them.

Mine were tight, but with a bit of effort, I was able to slide it (force it) right where I wanted it, then I poped the index clios on to lock it in place...



Perfect design...  



While I think the Magpul AFG looks a little cooler, I much prefer this setup...  So much more natural feeling to my hands...

Managed to get both of 'em on eventually...and yes one of them did require the hammer.
