Hi, I have a couple questions regarding the M600C scout lights on your website.
1) On your website it has the M600C listed as having 120 lumen output, but on the SureFire website and everywhere else I can find, it is listed as having 200 lumen output. Which is correct? 2) The tape switch in the picture on your website appears different than what comes with every M600C elsewhere. Is it encased in some kind of housing? Is the housing rail-mountable? I searched the pictures thread in the flashlight forum, but everyone with a tape switch mounted to rails seems to be using the SR07 switch that must be purchased separately. Thanks! |

Someone from Larue may be along to answer your questions, but I will provide a little of my own experience if it might help...
I believe Surefire changed the rating on the KX2C head that the 600C uses, it was originally listed as 120 lumens and some of the earlier versions of the retail packaging reflected the 120 lumen rating. They have since changed the rating to 200 lumen but without any change to the KX2C head... its the same output as it has been since the KX2C was introduced, just conflicting ratings from the change. The pressure pad shown on the website is the more current version, and its looks different from the previous version. I have an earlier version that is just flat without the 'relief cut' or surefire name molded in and thats why it may appear different from the previous version. The current version still requires some type of attachment. Either a rail panel with a pocket, glued to a rail as I have seen, the sticky sided velcro attachment that is usually supplied, or a section of bicycle inertube all are options to mount the pressure pad. |
