I am going to be in the process of building a new AR-15 here in a month or so. My rifle is going to be a 14.5" with carbine length gas port. I am not going to install a FSB on there, I am just going to put a low profile gas block in it's place. So my question is, I think I have decided on getting a 9" LT handguard for this rifle and I know the handguard is going to go over/conceal the gas block. Is this possible? I don't want to do this setup if I find out there isn't enough clearance between the low profile gas block and the handguard. |

I have a 14.5/9 inch LT on mine with carbine gas....wish I would have done 10. Just a little more rail space and room for my hand. Last set of uppers in the picture show carbine gas with optional hand guards.
