A while back I was contacted by M1awolf asking if I would be interested in running another secret operation to honor a man who has been very generous to many people on this site; I of course agreed to it.  M1awolf had already contacted a few guys from the Pack LaRue thread and they wanted to do a little something for FiftyCalAl.  They were kicking around ideas so I told them that I was in the process of building two AR15 Lamps for Alan.  Al had already paid me for the parts so I suggested the group chip in split the cost of the lamps and I would refund Al’s money.

With that Operation Full Moon was a go.  It took me a little longer than projected to get everything together but in the end Al received his Lamps today along with a Dillo Display Board and a full refund.

Al, I know how overwhelmed you feel right now having been on the receiving end of several unsolicited acts of generosity, I know I speak for everyone involved when I say you deserve it.

smullen, as with Operation LARUEMINATI for M. LaRue and M. Fingar this token of appreciation comes from everyone who supports Al and has been a recipient of his kindness.  There just comes a point where direct participation has to be limited, no one was intentionally left behind.  I thuroughly enjoyed doing this for Al.

Wow, mighty fine of you folks!  Wish I could have been a part as Al has been very generous to me a few times over now!

Not to hijack but, how are you guys building these lamps?  Is there a tutorial on how to do it?  From the looks of it I could re-create it but sourcing the parts could be quite expensive!  Is everything real stock?

I make the lamps using actual AR15 parts except for the barrle.  The Barrel is a replica kit I designed which costs $80; it's a little expensive to make a lamp but IMHO worth every penny.

If you haven't vsited the Special Operations thread Link, I made a BFL Lamp sanctioned by DirectAction that is part of the raffle.

First off I would like to thank Frank for all his hard work.  Second I would like to thank all my fellow pack members for their enthusiasm and contributions to this op. I would have never geussed that my hair brained Jack induced Idea would have resulted in Operation Full Moon. It has been an honor to work with and get to know you guys better. And most of all Thank you Al for all you have done for your fellow travelers in life. And last but not least thanks for the shout out Frank I was not looking for or expecting any recognition for this. Long live the Pack HOWWWWWLLLLLLLLL

I didn't take it as D Baggery, just a disclaimer.  I know there are a bunch of people out here who would have liked to participate and I would have liked to have included you all.  Maybe next time...

BTW both of the Op's I've run were under strict OPSEC, no-one finds out till we want them to.

Gentlemen:

I am STILL too overwhelmed to write/type.  I have receieved many commendations/awards in my life and I can say that none have effected me so very deeply. I honestly can not continue typing this now.  I am too overwhelmed and I apologize for being so emtional.  My life has been through some hard hits in the last several months and I have kept that from most. I would have never excpected such a gift and honor.

This act of the true POWER of the DILLO is more overwhelming than ever I would have imagined.  It is not due to unappreciation that I don't write more now; it's the damn allergies.

You have NO IDEA what this means to me.  From the bottom of my heart   ––THANK YOU!!

Just a little back story here.  I have been a member of ARFCOM for several years, and it seems that you always seem to be involved in all the charities/benefits on the site either as a sponsor or contributor. It was time that your dedication was rewarded. It was truly an honor to have participated in this as I feel that you truly deserve this.  After watching months upon months of your selfless caring for your fellow man I became painfully aware of my own shortcomings. Al you have inspired me to care more about my fellow man and people that are part of my life.  If all of us could be more like Al this world would be a better place.
