...Dillo Dust if I'm a vegetarian?
Got my scope mount today and loved all the extras you guys stuck in the box. Another Dillo, pocket Constitution, bumper stickers, a hat that has now replaced my worn out Nikon hat, and a bottle of Dillo Dust. Thank you! However, since I don't eat meat, I'm at a loss when it comes to using the Dust. I've heard all the stories about how great it is and really want to use it. Are there any vegetarian recipes for it? |
How about you mail it to me and I'll make sure it gets used properly? No? Darn!
Okay, how's this? Do you like popcorn? Sprinkle some on instead of, or in addition to, your melted....uh, margarine. LOL!
Shake it onto your veggie burgers. Matter of fact, shake some on any of your fresh cooked veggies, too. I use it pretty much anywhere I used to add seasonings like salt, pepper, paprika, etc. Enjoy. |

I don't know if you're a big fan of grilling veggies, but I grill veggies along with every meat item I throw on the ol' weber. And Dillo Dust is OUTSTANDING when grilled on Onions, Zucchini, Mushrooms, Peppers, yadda yadda yadda. My favorite is putting it on onions and zucchini (but those usually accompany a nice thick steak for me).
Its also really good if you whip in with butter and a little fresh ground black pepper and garlic. Makes a great topper for corn on the cob, baked potatoes, etc. And I also put it on popcorn and kettle corn (since they're both a little sweet) and its a great seasoning for that, too. There was also a thread a while back about putting it on baked pumpkin seeds too. And I must agree the mac and cheese idea is something I'm gonna have to try out one of these days... |

Fixt!
in mac and non-dairy Tofu cheese-like sauce on bagel with non-dairy Tofu cream cheese-like spread on boiled potatoes with buttermargarine on broccoli (Yeah, that works) So, did you miss the vegetarian part? LOL!
You're thinking of vegan not vegetarian. |

Ok... here is one my uncle showed me...
Get one of those tinfoil pans and get a bunch of brll peppers (green, red, orange) slice them in to strips and toss in pan get some onions and do the same add some high quality extra virgin olive oil, some mrs dash, black pepper, some lemon juice, and dillo dust toss on bbq and cover... many of the pans come with a metal top to seal the pan.... those are best. every so often shake up everything or mix it if you have no top. variations include adding some other seasonings, asparagus (I hate this but some like it), other liked veggies, etc It turns out really good.... and if you cook them just right they still ahve some firmness and bite to them.... if they are soggy, you cooked them too long or you need to poke some holes in the cover. richard EDT: occasionally we'll toss in some jalapenos to give it some kick. |

It's only good on meat. Just send it to me and I will dispose of it for you. |
