I know I've seen this asked before but I can't find it - so I apologize for redundancy. Which PRS works on the OBR: AR15/M16 ... or ... AR10/SR25 I ordered it with the CTR but I may reconsider. Just want to be squared away ahead of time. Thanks |

Hey, TripleTapper it was the pic of your OBR that made me think it may be a bit better balanced with the PRS on one end and the Harris on the front. Heavier...yep, but I'm thinking "feel" might be a win. I won't get mine for a bit (?) so I have time to ponder, re-ponder, and second-guess myself. eta: or the "Happy Birthday" feeling..At my age it's been a l-o-o-o-o-o-o-n-n-g time since I have had the "Christmas Feeling"!! |

For what it it's worth, I ordered the CTR for my OBR and really wish I had ordered the PRS. LT was nice enough to include a cheek riser for the CTR, which I appreciate, but you can't cycle the charging handle unless it is all the way back. I'm planning to remove the riser.
Does anyone know if the difference in stocks is due to buffer tube diameter only? I ask because I might go with an ACS if the charging handle will cycle over the top of it. The 16" OBR feels very compact and light for a 308. It might become my "go to" rifle. I only got it Tuesday and I love it. |
| FYI, I was just looking at Magpul's Website and it also says you have to have a fixed buffer tube to install the PRS (Not adjustable) It also confirms what people have already said here about the charging handle clearance. So yes, you can use your CTR on a AR15 bbut you have to change out your buffer tube to a fixed on your OBR. Unless you have an extra fixed buffer tube, it would make more sense to just order with the PRS. |

If you order it with a standard stock you should be able to just take the stock off the tube, making it easier and quicker to do your swap... unless you already have said OBR in hand. That's what I'm doing. I think the A2 stock looks good on it, but having the PRS that I can just change out with a couple screws and make it a little more precision-like is cool. I can always change the tube later and put a 6 position of some type on it. I just think they all look a little small on the OBR, and I do not like the idea of not being able to cycle the charging handle with that cheek riser in place and the stock being collapsed. |

I've tried the PRS stock with the riser all the way down, which makes it about the same height as the CTR stock. Cheek weld is ok with the scope on low magnification, but definitely takes some turkey-necking once the magnification is turned up. Works fine with EOTech except you won't be able to co-witness with the BUIS. Keep in mind that we are all built different with a different preference on cheek weld. What is acceptable for me may be totally wrong for you.
