I Really wish the airsoft crowd would get clever and start making look alike brand names for their limitation products. Sort of like video games do, everybody knows what they are talking about, but they have a different name. They think that if they put "AIMPOINT" in bright white text on top of it that it will look like they have the real deal and how tacticool they are. When anybody with knowledge would instantly spot it as a fake and laugh at them when they say it is a "real" aimpoint. No matter what they call it, it isn't an aimpoint, why not just call it something like "sightpoint" or "aimdot" or whatever. Then they wouldn't have to get their auctions shut down, people wouldn't get fooled into buying the fakes, and all would be good in the world.
Then again, they want to trick people into buying them, and the posers want to fool their ignorant friends into thinking they have real "military" gear. |

I've long since determined that any lookalike optics I ever get for my AS stuff is having any trade names painted over/obliterated. While there's no way I'm paying for the real deal for an airsoft gun, i just can't stomach trying to play off a fake as real.
ETA: I'm also just crazy enough to be planning on using a real LT15-9 on a new upper I'm putting together for my AS M4.
