I think they are quoting at least 6 months at this point.  They are currently building orders from somewheres in the middle of December 2008.

Decide quick, Mark has threatened to raise the price by $500 soon.

Won't matter if you havent ordered yet, by the time they get to you they will be ready.  Its only those of us who ordered in the first few months that are getting held up.  Trust me I'm doing my best to try to get a 'when' time on those but that seems to be one of those questions that Mark absolutely refuses to acknowledge needs to be answered.

here, let me say what they have told ya again  - 6 months minimum wait no matter what length barrell;  you pay when itis shipped.  the price goes up $500 in a few days.  DO IT NOW!  you'll regret it if you don't.  And use the search feature or just rummage the last 3-4 pages of LT industry forum to find about 1-2 hours worth of positive reading material on the rifle.

No probl em.  I really want folks to be able to own and use this rifle.  The feeling  just from holding it is indescribable; but when you get to shoot it - WOW!

I know it seems like a lot of money, but it really is an investment that one should be able to get their money out of easily if bad times force a sell.

I promise that once someone gets their rifle, the Ramen noodle diet will be forgotten and they will feel it was worth the sacrifice.  Seriously, it is worth giving up something for 6 months if that is what it takes to own one of these - just don't anybody make your family suffer to do it.  Plus the price goes up soon-lock it in and pay for it 6 months from now.  DO IT NOW!

I can't wait till we get some weapons quals done in MARCH so I can get this puppy online with my TEAM> It is great for personal use, but I really want to get it in service doing its life safety mission professionally.

It's gonna be $2,995 each, going up sometime between now and the end of the month.

End of the month is in oh...7 hours or so....

Be advised, be advised, even though I said I was going up in price midnight last night ... I decided to let all the Texas deer hunters still out in the field have a shot at the intro price. Buck season is over sundown Sunday, so they ought to all be packed and back home and get a chance to place their OBR order before midnight Sunday night.

So, at 12:01 am Monday the 4th, the price goes up to $2,995.00.

It is what it is.

Shucks, I got a little sidetracked.

Is it 100% accurate that the delay will be at least six months?  I am crazy if I order one right now but I am even crazier if I don't, especially if I would've had six months to get the money (less $500) together. So, if anyone knows the six month delay is certain please show me where I can read it for myself or where I can go to verify. I received the first one released into the wild, and just ordered my second last week.  I can confirm that I was told 6 months.  If you want it directly, call LT up and ask them, and order your rifle while they are on the phone.

Just an FYI ...

Shot three (3) OBR 16"ers just a little bit ago.

5-shot 100-yard groups sizes were thus ...

Rifle #1 - .560"
Rifle #2 - .430"
Rifle #3 - .735"

1.725 / 3 = .575" average

Must have been that early morning cups of coffee ... that opened up those groups!

Just kidd'n ...     What has been the average on each one you have tested before shipping .... should be running around 0.6??.

NOT A RANT, JUST A CONCERN, FROM ,NEW YORK

Trying to get my ducks in a row here , i could use some input from fellow new yorkers if any,  that have ordered the larue OBR, i emailed larue yesterday about permenatly attaching the surefire brake on the 2 OBRs i have on order,  i recieved a response from senior tech , stating that they donot offer that option, it would have to be done by my gunsmith, has anyone figured this out , so we can be compliant. it doesnt have to be the surefie brake, but it has to be a brake not a flash hider  and attached permanatly. there isnt a gun smith around for 75, miles that i would send my 5grad plus worth of larue products to drill or weld on, for that matter send a 200 dollar 10-22 for work, i would rather let it rot in the safe if i cant fix it my self. mabe i jumping the gun , but i am getting a bad feeling that things arent going to work out to well, hope i am wrong. lets just say i find a smith and mucks something up were do stand then , pounding salt for sure, larue wont touch it after some greeasy pig slobbered all over it and said ,oh i am sorry , as has happened in the past . need some help here ,,,,,,   mark if this should get to your eyes or ears , please send some helpfull advise, i really want these 2 rifles and would hate to lose out on a small issue like this , there  larue from top to bottom and i would love to keep them  that way,.... UPDATE: well mabe i was getting a little reved up, after having a 500dollar bolt hacked to death by a local so called gun smith ,i have been very weary of , the local smiths , so i called and spoke to tyler at larue , on the subject of permanetly attaching a muzzle brake , first off he is a super nice guy to talk to and very helpfull. the issue is that with the upcomming shot show things are hectic at LT, so they would usally weld/pin the brake on if there is time, and he also stated that if things calm down they would  be able to do it, he also said if it cannot be done in house he would get a list of competant smiths for me locally, which i will gladly pass along to anyone that needs it done . which if that winds up being the case , i will be hesatant to let it be done outside of the LT factory , for many reasons , we may just have to live with it if we want that rifle. this comming from me , not him,
so my orders are fairly new i am just gonna have to wait and see, i am just really hoping they can do it , there are some real assholes out here in N.Y. that hang a sign, buy a lathe and some tools and have the nerve to call them selfs gunsmiths, it makes me sick to think of it having to be done elseware. i will be back with any info . thx guys
