First of all I recieved my mount today for my ACOG and am more than pleased, just like I have been with every order. I am now a proud owner of 6 dillos, and I just found this great company last fall.

Anyways on too my request. Does anyone else think it would be nice to have a lock throw lever on their FUG?
I really like the feel of the LTVFG, but on more than one ocasion I have bumped the lever and I am afraid eventually I will bump it off durring a weapon change.
Is it possible to purchase and attach one of the locks to the lever?

Not a bad idea.

It should be tight enough that you would have to smack it pretty hard to release it. I'm assuming you are talking about your thumb hitting it, or is it something else?

If it just takes a light bump to release the lever then it needs to be tightened.

A lock wouldn't be a bad idea but it kind of defeats the purpose of a quick detach mount.

I have it fairly tight, but I hooked it on my vest one time and the other time I was not sure what it hooked on.
Also I am not sure if you own any of Marks throw levers but  for anyone who does not the locks are very quick and would not throw off your time quick detaching the vfg by much if any at all.

You know, I didn't even realize you were talking about the sliding locks like on the Aimpoint mounts

I'm pretty sure you couldn't just switch the levers around as the lock slides into a part of the mount itself. A new design would have to be made.

If you don't remove the FUG often maybe you could tie it off with something?

Maybe reverse the mount, I keep the throw lever on the outside so when I sling it theres no chance of it catching.

this makes much more sense than adding an unnecessary lock

a lock is unnecessary on the Fug  use the wrench provided to tighten it up

I think every LT product should be available with the locking lever as an option. It creates a longer lever thus creating more mechanical advantage so they are easy to take off.
