You don't need to line up the dot on your front sight post to make an accurate shot –– the aimpoint is a parallax free sight so you just put the dot on the target.

It looks to me like it would just let me see the top half of the front sight block...it is maybe a quarter inch to half inch taller than the ring that came with my Aimpoint, and I know that wouldnt work unless I used a carry handle gooseneck... |
