I just realized last night that I forgot one part for my Stealth build....THE BUFFER.

I have the Stealth 18" upper, LaRue lower, LaRue Buffer Spring & Magpul UBR.
Which buffer would be best?
Thanks

H2 is a good place to start.  LaRue buffer spring?!?!  thats amusing.

I ordered a Spike's ST-T2 to try once my upper arrives.  It's supposed to be .2oz heavier than an H2 and quieter.

Hopefully I can see how it works soon.

I called Larue about this. They told me H buffer setup is GTG on 18 in or less barrel. Only the 20 in needs the standard/rifle  buffer setup.

anyone know if a rifle buffer is ok with an 18" stealth?

Call them (Larue). They're so very helpful.

I put an H3 buffer in my mid-length gas AR. Runs nice, low recoil impulse too.
My view is you should use the heaviest buffer that your rifle will run with reliably. Especially in a semi-auto because your cyclic rate will almost always be faster than you can pull the trigger.
