Quick question I just recieved an eotech mount I got off the EE and I put it on my rifle with my LMT buis and the end of the mount hangs off the reciever and onto the ring of my larue handgaurds but the end of the mount doesnt clear the handgaurd ring. The ring pushes the mount up ever so slightly making it sit uneven. Is this a common problem?

thats just the way its built. you could move it forward some, the mount is designed to bridge a larue handguard nut. or the other option is a more compact rear sight. works great with a troy.

Im assuming if I leave it like this its going to affect accuracy? Ive seen pics of it mounted this way before. I will probably just keep it forward a notch,i just like it a little closer to the rear though. Thanks for the quick response.

It's designed to clip-on either in front, or behind the ring...not on it, as shown in your picture.
Assuming you can't go back ant further, I'd move it forward an inch (or whatever it takes to get it on the hand guard rail).

LOL I love how the simplest thread can turn into a "Let's show off pics of our beautiful rifles" thread... so in that spirit...

Fingar, that tan rifle is beautiful. Too bad everything's green or dark brown year-round where I live. How long did it take you to get all the markings right on the handguard, or is it a custom adnodizing?

Eotech 557 takes care of the problem. The battery compartment is cut to clear the ring so you can mount if farther forward.
I am still trying to get a BUIS, a 4x magnifer, and the Eotech on the rail. Gets way to buisy.
My only complaint about the Eotech is no batteries, no sight. An Eotech begs for a back up sighting system.
