I'm looking to purchase the Aimpoint Comp M4 with LaRue Tactical QD Mount 500-008-659 (standard height), Aimpoint magnifier with LaRue Tactical QD Pivot Mount LT649, and a Troy industries BUIS.  If I put all this on a standard AR-15 upper can I remove my standard m4 plastic hand guards without removing the sight?  All the pictures on your webpage show the Aimpoint mount flush with the forward edge of the upper with this setup and it looks like it might be in the way. Minor concern I realize but I'd rather not remove the sight for routine cleaning.  I know the Aimpoint Micro will solve the issue, but I really want the Comp M4 instead.

Either way, LaRue all the way...

Thanks in advance.

Remove it all you want, once it's zeroed.

Being able to remove and replace an optic, without any effect to your zero, is one of the key attributes of our mounts.

I have several optics for each of my uppers, for different applications. I remove them every time I clean.

thats what i ran into last week. and bite my lip as i removed the site, and swapped my hand guards. well, put the mount and aimpoint back on and went to the range to go through all the re zeroing process. well, it was zero'd. and confirmed. so you;ll be GTG!

Hell I always thought that was the biggest reason to buy Larue, was the return to zero and duribility.
