[ARCHIVED THREAD] - spr scope mounts and ring lapping?

hello folks at larue and happy holidays! i was wondering on your spr scope mounts, is there a need to lapp the rings as many folks do with traditional 2 piece scope rings? i was just curious if this was something that was recommended to do or if it is not needed.

I have four of their mounts in service today and have had NO need to lap any.

I also have a question, how much should you torque the top screws? Is it possible to overtighten them and cause damage to the scope?

good question i too would also like to know about the torque on the top screws. sorry im new to this mount just looking for some help, if there is a page on the net someone knows of with mounting insctructions i would love to have them, i bought a used mount so i dont have the instructions.
