Took the rail I had laying around and installed it on my new dedicated 22LR upper.
I was seriously thinking about wrenching on my DMR upper, taking the FSB and 9.0 and putting on the 22 and getting a low pro gas block and use the 11.0 gooseneck on the DMR. Maybe in the future but it's too nice and new to change it.

I was making room in my safe today for more ammo stash. When I moved a few things around I disturbed a nest of Dillos!! They must be breeding in there!!!
Anyway I thought it would be a good time to make note of my LaRue kit. I absolutely SUCK as a photog but here are the results (my apologies to Mark Fingar):

23 hats in all, I've worn out a couple of my first ones and sent off a few to friends who had purchased LaRue items but not directly from LaRue. Can't have a non LaRue owner running around with a hat.
Shot the suppressed SBR's today for the first time and although it was 25 degrees out it was very enjoyable. yak Pic thread.

Thanks That is a mid-length gas system on the VTAC rifle, fyi. UBR - is uber awesome!! I really, really like it. Not only does it improve the balance of the rifles and feel great, it looks freaking cool too!

Here's my contribution. It's a midlength that I built to be my patrol rifle. The rail is the 11.0 and the scope mount is a SPR-E. Notice there is no irons currently on the gun. That is because I sold what was on it to replace them with a set of Larue/Troy sights. Now that is on hold since my daughter decided to make an appearance almost 4wks early via emergency cesarean section two days ago and the sight money went towards insurance co-pays. The good news is she is perfectly healthy just needs to gain a little weight. The sights will just have to wait. The cool thing was I did not have to wear one of those goofy things on my head because I was wearing the Larue hat that came with my rail when we got to the OR and the Dr said that would work for a head cover if I wanted to wear it. Now on to the pics....
