So I found out recently my wife is pregnant, after over 5 years of frustration our first born is finally on the way (and yes I've already picked out the first gun!!!)

Had anyone used the LaRue Bug out Bag as a diaper bag?  Anyreason it would be segmented enough to store everything?  Hang with me here, and realise I'm a new father to be and diaper bags are a new thing, and figure it might as well be awsome and useable after the diapers have gone.  Plus my wife looks hot with guns, and gun stuff...

thanks in advance,
c

and yes i'm seriously asking this

as a father of a 9 month old girl, I can whole heartedly recommend the BoB as a diaper bag. Enough space for a good bit of diapers, spare clothing, bibs, cleaning wipes, formula/bottles. The only problem I can forsee is the velco messing up some stuff. We had a cheap diaper bag with velcro for the compartments, and they tore up the diapers.

awsome!

did you use the smaller one or the rifle one?  I showed my wife and she likes the Rifle one... in OD Green.  She wanted me to ask you if you had a changing pad that folded up okay in there.

I have the bigger rifle version, it's in OD as well As for the changing pad, we had a smaller padded one when she was a newborn, and it fits fine after taking the divider out. She's ~23lbs. now so we use disposable ones that are larger and MUCH more portable.

The current diaper bag held: 5 diapers, 2 onesies, 2 socks, 1 beanie, 2 bibs, 1 pair of pants, 1 pair of shoes, travel sized wipes, disposable dirty diaper bags (diapers stink up REAL quick), disposable changing pads, cleaning kit (hairbrush, comb, nail clippers, etc), a bunch of pacifiers, 2 9oz. bottles, a powder formula container, spoon, & small containers of baby food/snacks.

I fit all of the above easily in the BoB (with room to spare). The M16 mag pouches are great for the bottles. (fitted one in each), and managed to shove everything else into the main compartment. I still had room in the pistol mag pouches, and the bottle compartment on the sides. Minus the formula/food you should have enough stuff to last you 2-3 days to take care of the baby when she's with you out of the home.

Also, I forgot to mention congrats, you're in for one helluva ride.

and just for reference:

this is her the day she was born, you'll have to excuse my appearance, I was awake for ~50 hours straight.

and one of the more recent ones (6 months?) she loves chasing after our dog.
