Just got the e-mail specials, what the hell was wolf thinking marking all the boxes with a big WPA

Hell, I liked the picture of the wolf myself. really looks goofy now, crazy Russians

So, it's made at Barnaul now, so no more of the silver bear, or brown bear? I know it was made at Barnaul... Or are they just expanding Barnaul?

Either way, them Russians know how to get the American $$$

Guess it's just a coincidence that WPA was name of a 1930's gov project

That's exactly what I thought when I seen the new boxs

I think the WPA as a gov administration was a failure though?

It's the WOLF PERFORMANCE ARMS has me scratching my head though..... hrmm, it would have to be sporting guns in order to come from Russia?

Would you know if the new Barnaul ammo be the same quality was it was over a decade ago? I remember whitebox Barnaul being VERY accurate and clean.

So is all WPA ammunition made by Barnaul now? I wasn't aware Barnaul used poly coated cases.

some handgun ammo will not be made by them, yes barnaul can make all kinds of coated steel cases.

yup. the polymer coating is the new standard coating for the russian military IIRC. so all russian plants have the ability to produce it.

I put in an order for a case of it today along with some federal.

I haven't tried it in a long time and have a class coming up so let's see how it does.

Do you have details on which calibers/offerings come from which plants? I'm particularly interested in 9mm and .223. Are either or both of these now sourced from Barnaul?

Anyone shoot the .223 55grn FMJ WPA ammo yet?
I put 500 rounds of the military classic through my DDM4 with no issues. Put 100 rounds of Tula through and had two failure to fires. Great deal on the WPA right now if you buy 2 cases, just wondering how it compares.

all rifle calibers and 9mm is by Barnaul at this time

Question on this WPA - now it is made at Barnaul, is its performance more along the lines (perhaps the same, even....) of the Bear stuff rather than the weaker Tula? If it plays more like Brown Bear than the Wolf of old, I'll be giving it a try.

I ran a couple hundred of the .223 through my AR, no problems but gotta say my bolt carrier group was pretty dirty afterwards.
Much dirtier than what I'm used to shooting, brass cased XM193.... but the price is right and the rifle can be cleaned...

I ran through 100 rnds of the the WPA today in an A2. I had no problems at all.
