Good question!

Offhand I don't know.  I've texted Bryan but he hasn't replied yet, so I'm hoping he either responds or he comes on here and answers your question.

If you can remind me tomorrow, I'll check for you.

Why does NYS require a spent casing?

Spent casings found at crime scenes can supposedly be matched up against spent casings recorded in a database, sort of
like finger prints, and then the police can track down the original owner of the firearm that produced the casing and then try to
find out the guns history and who has it now.  I don't know if that has ever worked out and actually solved a real crime.  I do
know police have found a small number of guns produce a "disproportionately large percentage" of casings found at crime
scenes, which just means the same gun gets used in multiple crimes, but it doesn't follow the same person doing all those crimes.
Spent casings out of brand new freshly minted firearms have fewer distinctive markings than spent casings out of firearms
that have seen a lot of use and abuse, but supposedly it's enough of a difference to help solve crimes.  And if you believe that ...

Just checked...

No spent shell casing so we will NOT ship them into NY.  Sorry!

I assume by a "threaded" barrel that you can put on a suppressor but the pictures show the barrel as being flush with the slide.  Am I missing something or just confused, as usual?

I'm thinking it's "threaded" like the Walther P22s, it's just a barrel bushing that threads over the barrel.  You'd just need to install a thread adapter.

Any chance of a write up on the blog now that  you guys have these back in stock (with vid would be great). I really want one, but have to wait until August
The interwebs is the only place I can  get my gsg-1911 joy for now.

That's actually not a half bad idea...for sure I might try to write something up for it (most likely tomorrow) unless Bryan or Erik want to do it.

How do you guys with the GSG 1911 like them ?  Were they keepers, do you shoot them much, how accurate are they, what sort of ammo do they work well with ?

PMs fine if you don't want to post.  Thanks,
