Any plans for a Evolution rail for DPMS style .308s ?
There was talk about it on this forum around SHOT last year.

We have got some from them already for dpms308 very nice rail and comes with a barrel nut. But that was the quad rail the evo they said they were working on.

So did the .308 Evolution just completely die out or is there still some lingering hope?

I've heard that the 5.56 EVO will work on some DPMS if you use the handguard without the headsink.  The issue is that apparently DPMS changed the rail height on their uppers so the handguards do not line up correctly.  I have not been able to find out if its compatible with Mega or other LR308 style receivers though.

Considering Samson is not really informing the consumers about their intentions for the 308 EVO, I decided to go with the Troy TRX battlerail 308 since their designs are rather similar.

I really prefer the aesthetics of the Samson over the Troy, but the sheer silence from Samson is really off putting. I already have the plain free float so I'm not in a huge rush, but my interest is definitely waning.

I agree 100%, but since the offerings are limited, the Troy TRX seems like my next best option.  Still offers small HG and lightweight as well as not having permanent rails.  The EVO would have been perfect since it is a nice middle ground between the quad rails HG and the Troy TRX.

Hey guys
we are very sorry we haven't kept up on this sooner.  We have recently moved our shop to a new location in NH and If any of you have moved an entire machine shop you know that is quite the undertaking.  The new facility is much larger and we have multiple new machines that we have added to our shop.  We have the Evo .308 project completed we just have not been able to start production yet.  As soon as we get organized here and get the shop back into full swing we hope to get production started.

Thanks,
Andrew Dreher

Sounds like good news. Whats the final word on rail height for the DPMS compatible model? Will it match with the MaTen uppers?

Thanks

If only I had seen this a couple days ago! Had to buy a TRX at a great price last week.  Might consider trading it for the right price ;).

Any idea on anticipated pricing?
