I currently have a precision ar upper with a t15 rail. After shooting in some improvised positions, I think the rail is too clunky and would like to swap to a ss15 for better grip. Do I have to swap barrel nuts to change these rails? I don't have a set of action blocks, and would REALLY like to be able to just change these out without having to go to that trouble or taking it to a smith.

Not to be a smart alec, but I assume this was supposed to be that they are compatible?

I think you might want to wait on that. The Barrel nut for the g2 series of rails is different then the g1 series. You should be good to go with an ss-15 gen 1, not a gen 2.
