I have a standard MI Carbine 2 piece ff on my AR and I'm looking to upgrade my AR soon to a CMMG piston system.

Will I have to buy a whole new rail? Or will my rail work with it?

sorry your old rail will not work . there are a bunch of changes made that you can not see from the outside that make these work with the piston systems.

I guess I'll be putting it up in the exchange when I'm ready to upgrade to the piston system.

Naw it's no problem it's a great rail I just want to convert to a piston system so if thats the rail I need I'll be getting it. I'm happy with MI products.
