Here's a little teaser pic of the new PIG GRUNT - soon to be released. This little fella spent over a month getting torture  tested by me in its configurations - MOLLE, LIK attached, or as a standalone with shoulder straps. Here it is mounted directly to my PIG via MALICE clips.

Enjoy!

1) add Velcro for dept/unit ID
2) does it hold hydro?

Be advised, SKD_Tactical is showing a pic of an early prototype.
The current design is already in production at FirstSpear, and is due to hit the shelves in 3-4 weeks.

There is a hydro slot in the gRUNT, and more room than I thought for other gear. I never got unrealistic with its capacity but I was always able to cram in one more small item. I mainly carried extra socks, a change of t-shirt, surefire, 2-3 stripped MRE's, my 2L source bladder, and my NVG's.

Really, really long arms. There are three ways to attach or carry the gRUNT. In the photo I chose to have it Malice clipped on.

What size bladder did it fit? I currently have a 3L one that I hope will fit inside the gRUNT. I have to say, that gRUNT is exactly what I was looking for!

How secure was it with the LIK?  Any pics?

That would be my preferred method, so it could be clipped on and off.

The gRUNT looks great. Not to get off topic, but what pack is that in the background?

It's a beaten and worn Kifaru ZXR. I love that pack. I'll also work on getting some LIK kit pics for you. I actually spent most of the time wearing it with the LIK. Made ditching the pack extremely easy.

OK so I forgot my PIG PC in my locker, and since it's the weekend I won't have access to it again until Monday. As it turns out the PIG gRUNT wasn't designed to support the LIK at all, weird thing is I had no clue that it wasn't and used the LIK with it anyways. I took a bunch of photos of the various ways to attach it to your PC's - I really doubt I exhausted all possibilities.
LIK Kit - no mods or attachments (my preferred way to attach at the C-bun/ waist)

Simple ITW Grimlok

LIK with male buckle and flat female buckle

LIK kit with male buckle added

Rightside - PIG G hook side release buckle with a split male ITW fastex buckle added (this is my preferred way to attach at the shoulders)

Why would it not be designed for the LIK?  I thought that was the point of the LIK?

It worked so well with my LIK that I had no idea. Really no issues at all using it the ways I showed.
