so i have an eagle PC w/CB, but when i have ESAPIs in them, and if wearing over my LVAC, the cummerbund is short. i can get it to reach but i dont like how the cummerbund comes out the back...if you get what im saying.
anyways, i was looking at the PIG PC cummerbunds. is the molle cummerbund the same length (minus the stretchy part) as the eagle? and do you know if the elastic PIG cummerbund will work with an Eagle PC? i run mine sometimes without the CB, and an elastic cummerbund would be awesome. |

Okay I'm lost. I think I'm misinterpreting your post. You have an Eagle PC + C-bun and an LVAC that you wear together sometimes??? The C-bun is too short when you wear two vests?? You want to either use the PIG Molle C-bun or the PIG Elastic C-bun to route through the Eagle PC to help?
Yes, both PIG PC C-buns should work with the Eagle PC but I would recommend a different approach. Option 1- Use the Eagle PC with your plates and get soft armor backers for it. This way you keep your pouches and can also up the protection level from plates alone. Option 2- Put your plates in the LVAC and wear a simple chest rig. This way you have the soft armor coverage of the LVAC, your plates, and access to ammo and other goodies. Let me know if I'm missing the mark. SOS |

no you got what i was asking.
i have BALCS panels, and would like to get the EPC shaped plate backers from triad tactical but dont have the money for those, thats what i would ultimately like. i do like how slick the pc is without the cummerbund, but dont like the buckles, and was wondering if the PIG elastic cummerbund would work with it. conversely, ive also thought of getting a chest rig to use over the LVAC. i have an rrv but in the H-back configuration it sits too low on me even when cinched up. im actually really leaning toward the skd/eagle universal right now. since getting out of the .mil i'm all about what the hell i want to have setup.

OK, I gotya. I would save your money and get exactly what you want. I hate stopgap solutions personally. I would rather wait a month or two and exactly what I need than nickle and dime myself with cheaper solutions.
That's how I ended up with so much extra gear. Good luck getting out and congrats. I have thought about it many times. I'm on my 4th enlistment now, so I might as well go the full twenty. SOS |

On the plus side, you can have it setup however you like it, with only your own rules and regulations. since getting out of the .mil i'm all about what the hell i want to have setup.i know! thats what has me all wtf, there is so many options. SKD, looking at my PC i realized the elastic is a no go, since it would cover the outer 3 rows of molle since it goes to the velcro flap, covering up where i have my sidearm and pistol mag pouches. i think im going to get the skd universal ICW my LVAC, maybe later down the road get plate backers. |
