this is NOT in a dedicated 22 upper, regular 5.56 upper.

and when I say Light Primer Strikes, I mean LIIIIIGHT.

there doesn't seem to be any movement of the carrier and my upper and lower mates up perfectly. Hammer and trigger springs are standard, not a lighter kit.

What's the deal?

Get the TACCOM3G firing pin. Actually, get the reliability kit. It will solve your light strike issues.

is the firing pin a little bit longer than the CMMG one?

The TACCOM FP is slightly angled to crush the primer area of the Rimfire (Inside to Outside) and is adjustable in length by the shims provided. Follow the directions provided in the package. Mine work great.

Did you have similar problems before?

Always, with specific ammos. Not specific to any manufacturers bolt or firing pin, just a general problem. This firing pin is a step forward for 22's.

alright, thanks for the help. I have a new lower that is arriving at an FFL today. If I get the same results out of that, I will order the kit. If good results, maybe soon.

I had the same problem out of my SBR lower which had a 9mm hammer in it. I changed to the standard hammer and new hammer spring and not a FTFire other than a dud here and there. (checked the rounds in a Savage MKII to be sure).

Just tried it on a different lower, still same result. This is running a full sized hammer and has regular RRA springs in right now.
honestly, watching the hammer hit the back of the firing pin, it just looks like the pin needs to be a little longer on the back end. That or the firing pin spring needs o be lighter/shorter

I put a heavier hammer spring in my lower and narrowed the face of the firing pin since I won't get the new pin in time to take it to the range on Monday. Hopefully that will make a difference.
