I've have a couple questions. 1. I have a Ceiner kit and would like to convert it to a dedicated upper. Can I do this with your parts? I don't know how much, if there is any between the two kits. (Of course I could just steal my boys and give him mine. But anyway..... 2. What parts would I need for this dedicated conversion? Thanks. |

You would need the CMMG barrel/collar. It may or may not require minor fitting to the rail. If it does, it's just a small amount of filing to the rail. Dave N +1 If you don't know where to file, shoot me a PM and I can send you a picture. But, better yet, you know you really want the Stainless Steel one anyway....... |

I see. I guess I need to add that I'm currently using a 5.56 bbl not a dedicated bbl. I would like to dedicate the current bbl. ?????? You want to just use your 5.56 barrel for .22? Just put your conversion kit in there and go shoot. If you are going to put a lot of .22 through it you need to either shoot some 5.56 though it once in awhile to clean out the gas system, or block off the gas port. Maybe we are all confused by just exactly what it is you want to do. |

My bad, sorry. I would like to take an existing 5.56 bbl and make it a dedicated .22. I would like to do the collar so that if I have to remove the BCG it would be just the body, not the chamber adapter. I'm thinking that I will just have to buy that locking collar and just use that. Its a shame it is $89 though. |

Nah, not confused, just learning. LOL I've been running a conversion for YEARS, I just got my SBR stamp and wanted to make one of my uppers a dedicated upper w/o putting a new bbl on it. If someone made an insert for the chamber that could be semi-perm installed that would be sweet. That way I could just get that collar, insert the insert and commence shooting. |
