Will the BHOA work with the non evolution conversion? I assume you would also have to upgrade the spring and follower in the magazine.

Thanks

Pretty sure the BHO only works with the CMMG BHOA mags. BDM is working on some also

I have the cmmg magazine, and the cmmg conversion. It's just not the evolution series.

If you have any issue it would be the bolt not being modified. There is a diagrahm showing what needs to be change. Nothing major. I would try it without doing the mod first.

Hey Dave.

So you think I can make it work, or did I just end of with a conversion the bolt will never lock back on? Where might this diagram be located?

The only difference in the new bolts is a slightly angled rear underlug and a sharp 90 degree angle on the front of the bolt.
I'm at work but I'll try to find the diagrahm. I would still try it without the mod first.
Short answer, yes it will work.

Thanks Dave, you always seem to come through for us. I will get my order in tonight for the bhoa, and the follower and spring, for the magazine.

You will also need to modify the back of the feed tower where the follower pops up. Takes about 30 seconds. Just file a 45 degree angle. Also, work the follower up and down several times to break the follwer/mag in. The tail of the follower is spring loaded and drags on the inside/rear of the channel.

I found a thread on that last night. I ran about 100 rounds through it today at the range with no issues. This is going to be so much cheaper and fun.

Although I haven't done the mod myself It sounds like it will be easily done and as you say,
It'll save the money of a new bolt.
Good Luck,
