I had my 22 conversion over a year now and I believe the break in period is done. I have fun using it, it cycles okay. The problem I have is when I try to remove the conversion from my upper. I put a lot of oil before inserting it with little difficulty but hard to pull it out. The last time I used it I had to use a hammer to remove it. Please tell me what I'm doing wrong.

Try gun grease instead of oil.

Is it a parkerized version? I ask because the stainless only needs 2 drops of oil, one per rail.
Oil will attract and hold carbon. It builds up at the chamber and can maske the kit difficult to remove.
