I received my MOD4SA AR pistol Friday morning and went directly to the range.  After one magazine I started having feeding problems I suspected were from a tight chamber and/or a burr somewhere scoring the case and making the fit too tight.

The extractor started to tear the lip off of the cases, while failing to fully remove the spent case from the weapon causing a jam.  The new live round was trying to chamber and the bolt carrier would slam home against the side of the spent casing.  Not quite, but close to a stove-pipe.

I did a thorough cleaning of the chamber and pistol.  I went back to shooting and it functioned fine through 1 magazine.  Then it started to short stroke.  One out of three or four rounds then out of every two or three rounds then every round.  Felt like it was shooting a squib.  There was no normal feeling of the gas system moving the bolt carrier, like a way under powered round, if you know what I mean.  But I was shooting the same Am Eagle .223 55 gr ammo.  I checked the barrel every time and as much of the gas tube as you can visually and found nothing amiss.

On Friday about 1PM I called and asked for help.  I was told the people who could help me were not avail at the moment and the receptionist took my name and number and my brief description of the problem.  I asked if everyone was gone for the day.  She said, "No, they are just tied up (I'm paraphrasing...)".  When I hadn't heard back by about 330PM I called again and was told everyone had gone home for the weekend.

Over the weekend I sent an e-mail requesting help to the address from the site.  I was hoping to hear something this morning but as of 1130AM I haven't heard back.

This is not intended to be a flame-fest or offensive.  I was looking for another avenue to contact CMMG, Inc and request help with a new product.  Further I understand I am not your only customer and I didn't expect anyone to come running to my aide within minutes.  But I would like some feedback of some kind please.

Thanks,

easysixonezero

PS.  I LOVE the pistol.  It is VERY cool.  I just want it to function like the others I've read about at ARFCOM.  I suspect it will become one of my favorite firearms.

Gas block had not been tightened down and had moved, thus functioning was messed up.  Shipped and back and then back in my hands in one week.

Just shot approx 200 rounds thru with no problems.

Thanks CMMG.  Got a great gun.

Ah ha.

As stated everyone I've spoken with were very polite.  All I have read about CMMG was positive.  I suspected I might have fallen thru a crack and was looking for another contact method.

No anger was meant.  I got two guys at work who wouldn't give my pistol back...they both want one BAD.  Awaiting positive fix of the function and I suspect there will be two more sales...this is a cool gun!

We've been closed since Thursday afternoon.  We are going through emails now or you can drop us a line.  We might need to email you a shipping label and get the upper back to look over it.

Thanks,
Jeff
