Alright,
I would like to mount a light on a middie carbine. I don't have (nor do I want) a rail. What are my quality mounting options?

And I don't want a barrel "clamp on" or one that mounts on the "A frame"

Thanks

The simplest solutions are going to be adding an accessory rail (2" or 4") to your handguards. These accessory rails will attach through the vent holes so no holes have to be drilled.  You can place a rail at 6 o'clock and mount the light off of it and then to activate you'll either have to use a tapeswitch or slide your hand forward and activate the pushbutton by the side of your hand/fingers.

You can also use a 2" rail at 12 o'clock and add a Viking offset mount to achieve a very comfortable light placement. This combo does obstruct some of your peripheral vision but for close quarters & considering the comfort it works well --

Let me know if I can help.

Thanks,
Calvin
