Hello...

I was just wondering what is the best way to mount a surefire tape switch onto my vertical grip...?  I have a KAC grip but I'm thinking about getting a differnet one... does the KAC grip work?  or do you NEED to have the tango down battle grip so you have the little slot in the grip for it...

do you use electrical tape to keep it in place?  does the switch itself come with a mechinizim to mount it to your vertical grip?  Thanks!

The t. switches will come with an adhesive velcro pad for adhereing to both the back of the pressure pad and for your grip or h.guard but to further secure it many will slide a section of bicycle innertube over the grip & pressure pad.  This works great for securing it and can provide a bit more comfortable grip, if you need a piece just let me know.

The T.D. grips are nice because the cutout does help reduce accidental activation.

Use some cheap tactical tubing aka an inner tube from a 10 speed bike tire to sheath the switch and the handle. This idea is from a SWAT team.
Good Luck

I use the black 3M double sided tape for mounting vehicle moldings (Wal-Mart has it).  Has never let me down and I have used it on several weapons over several years.  The innertube idea is great too.

I'll second the inner tube idea.  Works great, looks slick and is cheap!  Done it on several "duty" weapons with good results.

Cheers!
