What type of thread locker does BCM use on their set screw gas blocks?  Red, Blue, Rocksett?   I just ordered some parts and would like to have what I need on hand to assemble.

I'm not sure if it's Red loctite or the torque BCM puts on the set screws, but low pro GB's installed by BCM are very difficult to remove. If there is any chance you'll want to remove the gas block in the future, I suggest Rocksett over red loctite.

It's high temp red loctite.  With a dimpled barrel and a free float rail covering the block, a snug fit of the set screws and high temp red loctite is all that is necessary to securely keep the GB in place.  Be sure to degrease the GB threads and the set screws prior to loctite application and installation.

When I placed my order I put in the comment section "can you please throw in some of what you use on the gas block".   When my order arrived there was a small vial of Red 262 in the box.  I didn't think they would do that but it never hurts to ask.  So Thanks to those who replied and thanks to BCM for the red loctite.
