[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Bad laser etch (Page 1 of 3)

| After owning DD's, noveskes, and mega...I figured it was time to get a bcm. I received my upper receiver group and the laser etched BCM logo on the upper is all scratched up and ridged the letters don't have clear edges. Contacted bcm and wasn't happy at all with their resolution. First bcm product and most likely last. Might be a small issue but customer service should give options. |

Yeah, I have always thought they should hire more professional artists to do their laser etchings. |

Thanks for your intelligent reply. |

Pierre,
Just looked thru the email history. I think we have sent you 8 comms on this issue already. We received your complaint about the laser artwork on BCM complete upper receiver group. We offered to send you a Prepaid FedEx label to return it to us for inspection and possible replacement. You refused because you did not want to “wait for another upper weeks later”. We then guaranteed we would turn it around within ONE business day, and emailed you the Prepaid FedEx return label. You refused stating; “As an Leo I don't have time to be repackaging and sending off items.” |
| This is my duty weapon since I just got off fto, I rather not be without my only superior weapon while on the road. In what shipping would have cost plus hassle you could of at least offered to refund the difference of what a blemished upper would be since that is what I received. |

Looks to me that BCM did offer outstanding customer service on this issue and your refusal to take advantage of their offer is not the fault of BCM. I don't see what's so outstanding they offered to look at it. That's pretty basic for any company I would hope. I was just leaving my feedback I'm not expecting anything at all from them I'm taking care of it myself. Glad everyone else has had great experiences. With how competetive and flooded the ar market is I was expecting more but oh well. |

There isn't, say, a spare in the armory? Don't expect a company to give you money, if you won't even let them inspect it. How they f*ck are they to know if it was actual manufacture defect or something that happened after it left them and went to a retailer, or from retailer to you? Maybe it was a blem, yet the retailer you bought it from advertised wrong? Or they grabbed from the wrong pile? |

Guess you can't please everyone. I wish you good luck.

What customer service options would you be looking for outside of what they offered? He said he wants MONEY, the difference between a blem and new, and not even giving BCM the chance to inspect it. I can already hear this guy on the stand. ETA- morals |

I highly doubt that he is. He probably is, I don't doubt that. He said he just got done with FTO which means he is new as shit. I was a proud mother fucker when I was new. Now days in this culture and environment you couldn't pay me to just throw around that I was an LEO. Thank god for career changes
but for real OP if it is your duty rifle aesthetics should be the LEAST of your worries. And its a duty rifle that fucker is going to be thrown in a rack, thrown in the trunk, thrown down the driveway etc etc. but hey bad laser etching.. its your funeral pal.. |

If it's your duty rifle, it won't be looking pretty for much longer. The last thing I'd be worried about is a laser engraving. |

be careful OP. BCM might blacklist you now lol. I remember a while back a person was complaining about something stupid and bcm bent over backwards to take care of the customer but he still was being a stick in the mud. I seem to remember they refunded his money or something but then when the panic occurred he tried to order some bcgs or something like that only to have bcm cancel his orders. I have nightmares of being placed on bcms blacklist lol. I have 5 of their uppers and love bcm since they are in wisconsin. I am saving up for their bcm mk12 with the kmr forearm. I also love their gunfighter stocks! Anyway, i bet you anything the next time you go to order you order will be canceled. Just a hunch ;)
Btw, bcm if you ever need to hire a cpa/accountant let me know....i would move from madison in a heartbeat to come work for a sweet company like yours :) |

After reading through this thread, I am glad I moved from the state or Florida. Please pull your panties outta your crack, man up, and grow a flippin pair! BCM has generously offered to take a look at this and replace if they we feel warranted, WITH a one day turn around, and you are still whining get like a little girl? Seriously........? |

The OP must patrol inside an office then. My rifles take a beating riding patrol. Whats the purpose of this thread? They offered to take it back? You need to remove the sand from your vagina and quit making the rest of us look bad. OP's en-route to being a call taker, not a call maker...gotta keep those boots shiny! |

Mr Pierre Uzcategui, Does your LE Department know you just committed fraud? You just contacted your charge card company requesting a full refund, stating your VISA credit card charge to purchase this merchandise was an "unauthorized charge." Very bad form. |

I thought the mental evaluation they give Aspiring police Officers was meant to weed out people with duel personalities. |
