Hello all,

I wanted to get everyone's advice. I placed an order with BCM for a few lower part items ($150) dollar order.  USPS indicated they delivered the package on 8/27 but I never got the package (as confirmed by my security cameras, and happy to provide footage to anyone). I contacted the post office and they had no clue, as expected. I sent BCM an email and they indicated they filed a claim with USPS and they will let me know when they hear anything. So essentially I take that to mean I won't have what I paid for for at least 2-3 weeks...or I am out 150 bucks by having to re-order or try to find items locally.

I guess what really makes me upset is that I have spent thousands of dollars at BCM over the past few years and I am a very active customer, and always recommend them to friends as they are very fast shippers and have great products. I feel they should be able to replace my order and send me replacements immediately and not have to wait the 2-3 weeks for USPS to "investigate".  When I had a small business on eBay, if a long term customer had a lost package I would immediately replace it or offer a refund, and I would wait for the claim reimbursement or take the loss. Am I unreasonable to expect the same from BCM?

What should I do next? Try to initiate a charge back with my CC company?...or re-order and be out 150 bucks....

Looks to me like you should be mad at the USPS they lost your stuff.
What does the tracking# say, it said delivered, talk to your post man.

If you can't wait, order from BCM again or wait and see what happens.

NOT this.
BCM is the party that made a contract with USPS to deliver it's package not the OP. BCM should send him his order again and they should deal with USPS.

Appreciate everyone's responses.  I am just very frustrated, as the tracking number says "delivered".....which clearly it was not (as confirmed by my cameras too).  I have a hunch it was delivered to a wrong address.

BCM's response was they filed a claim / investigation with USPS and will let me know when they hear anything.  I take this to mean I won't have what I paid for for at least three weeks, as USPS does everything slowly, and then I will have to wait for shipping again.

I just feel cheated, I paid for something that I do not have.  I feel BCM should be able to replace my order immediately and not make me wait for a USPS claim, especially considering the trouble free business I have given them in the past.

Thanks everyone

BCM should replace your order when they have documentation that it has been delivered to you?

Once again, your problem is with USPS, not BCM.  I understand your frustration, but the fault lies with your mailman, or whoever said it came to you when it didn't.  Postal drones are especially useless bureaucrats, I have found they only help you once you've proven that you will persistently make their lives more difficult than they would be if they actually did their job.

I would be hounding my local postmaster.

USPS said they did something that they didn't.  This is happening a lot with the UPS to USPS handoff nonsense.   Your Post Office will tell you their system is not designed to handle the UPS stuff...whimpering whiners.  Call you Post Master General and file a complaint, chances are your stuff is sitting at the post office.  Call your local post office and make them give the Post Master General for your area's number.  If they try to let a local manager take the complaint tell them to piss off and give you the PMG's number.

As I expected, BCM promptly made it right by resending the order via UPS. Thanks again BCM. Your customer service is always fantastic. Again sorry to vent my frustrations to you, just fed up with USPS.

Your position makes sense but doesn't comport with the law. UCC 2-319(2) and 2-509 states that, in plain language, risk of loss transfers to the buyer once the seller tenders the goods to the carrier. Of course this is assuming BCM's contract language doesnt override the default UCC provisions.

Just the position of a bored lawyer.

Hey, I just ordered and it didn't get delivered either. Honest, it didn't get her and it doesn't look totally awesome.  Bcm should just send me another upper,  ya know, cause I said I didn't get it they shouldn't do due diligence and complete their investigation. Cry me a river dude.
Call your congressman and get rid of the inept postal service.

Battle Arms did the same thing to me and lost a customer.   Three weeks after the package was supposed to be delivered, they told me to take it up with USPS.  Pissed off is not even close to where I was that day because I can't take it up with USPS.   Only the seller/shipper can do that.

The seller contracts a shipper and is responsible for getting the goods delivered.  If the post office fucks up, BCM has to make it right as the purchaser of the shipping services and/or insurance.

Even when I sell shit on the EE, if the shipping company loses the package, I immediately refund all funds sent and I get right with the shipping company.

Anger, yes.  Who is responsible to him as the customer, no.  This is BCM's problem.

Yup, USPS has claimed I was unavailable to sign for items when I was standing in my yard watching them drop off the mail.  I would have sworn they had the tag filled out before they got there.

In my line of work $150 is chump change that I have to give away almost daily to keep "disgruntled" customers happy. Glad it worked out.

Yeah, BCM ships him extra product because they're awesome and want him to be happy. OP doesn't even bother fixing a thread title. A mod should edit it to "Disappointed in OP" and leave it.
