Who's trigger are they using?

I tried out the trigger on a 4/11 NIB complete M4 rifle and it was NASTY! (4-5 swoops/grits) I swear it made a DPMS look like a match trigger! WTF?  Anyone else unsatisfied with their BCM trigger?

BCM doesn't divulge from whom they get their lpk parts from. All we know is that the individual parts are selected from various sources & not just one kit from one particular company.

All GI Triggers can be okish, craptastic, or pretty good. Be it BCM, Colt, RRA, DMPS, Stag, or Buba's Gun shop build.

All out of the same bin of parts.

Expecting anything more or less or better is a waist of mental energy.

Want a good trigger? Buy one.

They can smooth out with use, drop a little lube in it and shoot it or dry fire some.

I am comparing it to the average AR trigger. (including all the cheap brands)

how many rounds did you shoot with it? it's a combat trigger so it won't be like a glass rod, but it should smooth out with use. Geissele is the cure all.

Out of spec roll pins from DPMS, bolt catches that snap in half from RRA and other commercial horseshit parts don't come from the same bin of parts as a Colt or BCM.

I do not know whose parts they use, but the several BCM rifles that I shoot all have very adequate triggers, and they all feel better than average.
They do get better with use (duh) but all of the ones we use started off feeling pretty nice, for a battle rifle trigger. In fact, they are the only ones (other than DD) that I leave as received.
As others said, they do improve. As every company sometimes puts out products not quite perfect, seems you got one. BCM does not use low quality parts, yours just missed it's polish a little.

I like BCM and they offer a quality product. That being said, the BCM fanboys are just dripping with hypocrisy. Lets be honest here, if this was a Del-Ton

or DPMS or an Oly, the responses would be..... what do you expect...... you get what you pay for...... spend the extra  money for quality parts.....etc ....etc..

But when a member doesn't like a BCM product its the members inexperience or lack of knowledge that is at fault. Yes BCM is a quality product and most members would

rate it near the top,but no manufacturer is immune in regards to shipping out a turd from time to time. BCM just does it less frequently than others.

BCM like other Industry Partners follow these forums and look for input and experiences with their products. If there is an issue with parts etc. I'm sure they would like to know without

the sugar coating.

"Nasty" is subjective, and its defintion is different from person to person. Also, it is a fighting carbine built to the specifications Colt has designed for our military's fighting carbine. It will not have a match trigger.

As the above poster said, nasty is subjective.  And its a mil-spec trigger.  I've had tons of them, and they've all felt different.....

Don't confuse brandy loyalty with "the way it is".  Just as annoying as the "you get what you pay for" crowd is,  the "if this were another brand, people would be blowing up" crowd is just as bad, if not worse.  Opposite ends of the spectrum, but equally as non-technical

Did you write BCM about the trigger?

The LMT lower I got was rough jerky and gritty. I got the hammer and applied pressure to it while I cycled it a few dozen times.

Then I looked online and found a guy that had a tutorial on how to tame it..

I did not cut my spring I just bent it a tiny bit and it is magic now..

Just broke in my BCM lower with a new BCM upper and the trigger was very nice.  I especially like the positive reset.  2 thumbs up.

Like it was said before they are all different i have installed 2 of the same brand lpks in 2 of the same brand lowers and one trigger pulled nice at about 6# 10 oz and the other at just over 8# most of the mil spec triggers i see have the same markings on them too.
